The Intention
To merge creativity with foundational practices for well-being; to create the conditions for your heart’s wisdom to bloom. The intention of Creative Res(e)t is have you both radically rested and inspired by the end of our time together, with the tools and insight necessary to foster your Inner Artist and knowing long after our time comes to a close.
We’ll meet in multidimensional rest and share in magical creative practices. We’ll move and meditate, share delicious meals in community, and tap into your heart’s longing — your sacred work.
Who is this for?
This retreat is for artists of all kinds, including the secret creatives, hobbyists, and I-really-wish-I-had-more-time-for-this artists. You’ll know this retreat is for you if you’ve been teetering on burnout, feel uninspired or lacklustre in life and/or work, and are wanting to take care of yourself and your creative heart in a radically different way.
The Location
Nestled in 20 acres of forested land on Nexwlélexwm territory, the next Creative Res(e)t retreat is being held on Bowen Island. With modern, Scandinavian-inspired cottages, a geodesic yoga dome, and curated vegetarian menus, Nectar Yoga is a transformative retreat centre.
Bowen Island is just a 20-minute ferry ride from North Vancouver, via Horseshoe Bay to Snug Cove.
Future retreat locations include Tofino, online and perhaps somewhere very, very sunny 👀

Heck no! The primary intention behind this retreat is learning to see ourselves as artists by expanding our definition of what it means to be creative. You’re an artist if you dressed yourself this morning. You’re an artist if you hosted Christmas dinner! You’re an artist if you like to journal. As we journey toward creative rest and a creative reset, we’ll explore how creativity rejuvenates our lives, opens us to possibility, and allows us to be the people we came here to be.

We’ll play with writing, painting, drawing, collaging, and perhaps even using the natural world and bodies to make shapes. And again, I emphasize, we’re all creative, we’re all artists!

This retreat is open to all women and non-binary people. We’ll explore themes likely resonant to people socialized as female, so check in if this would feel expansive for you.

The retreat is held at Nectar Yoga on Bowen Island. If not from Vancouver or Vancouver Island, you’ll want to book flights to Vancouver airport. From there, either bus or taxi to the North Vancouver ferry terminal (horseshoe bay) and take the ferry to Bowen Island. Once on the island, there is a bus that goes directly to Nectar Yoga. The ferry accepts vehicles as well, so you’re more than welcome to rent a vehicle and drive on to the ferry.
